Zusammenfassung

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have got high operative focuses. Due to the lack of organizational resources, this leads to difficulties in realizing cross-enterprise collaborations as an instrument in terms of increasing the enterprise flexibility. This article provides an insight into the collaborative acting of SMEs as well as of small and micro enterprises within their economic environment. The first part of the article presents the goals pursued by collaborations, the barriers and drivers perceived during the realization, and also give more details on the realization pairings. The second part of the article deals with an organizational concept for cross-enterprise collaborations especially developed for the industrial environment of small and micro enterprises and especially headlines the basic idea and the levels and phases of the collaboration.
